WHO MAY APPLY: This scholarship is open to all Prince George’s County residents, with priority given to District 23 residents. Applicants must be:
Current high school seniors
Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time (12+ credits for undergraduates, 9+ credits for graduates) or part-time (6-11 credits for undergraduates, 6-8 credits for graduates) at a two-year or four-year Maryland college, university, or private career school.
If you plan to or currently attend an out-of-state institution because your major is not offered at a Maryland school, you must submit the Unique Major Application and attach the required documentation. If you require special accommodations that are not available at any Maryland institution, a designated space will be provided in the application for you to explain your circumstances.
ARE YOU A DISTRICT 23 OR PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY RESIDENT? Click this link, enter your address, and check if you reside in Legislative District 23. If you do not, the site will display your Senator and Delegates, along with their contact information.
HOW TO APPLY: U.S. citizens must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by June 1, 2025. Undocumented students must submit the MDCAPS One-App by June 1, 2025.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Fill out personal information and details about your education.
Provide transcripts from your current or most recent school.
Submit a Unique Major Application if attending an out-of-state institution due to an unavailable program in Maryland or provide an explanation of required special accommodations (if applicable).
Respond to three short-answer questions.
